The researcher of the department of the Caspian Sea of the Institute of Geography Elnur Safarov

participated in the workshop training course on “Remote sensing, water circulation and climate changes” held in the city Tver.

Being a joint initiative of World Meteorological Organiszation (WMO) and the Committee on Space Research (Cospar), the workshop training course took place in Tver State University.

Highly skilled professionals of the European Space Agency (ESA), as well as the World Meteorological Organization, the National Center for Space Studies (CNES), the European Meteorology Organization (EUMETSAT), the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAN) and other organizations have been involved in the training.

During the 10-day training Elnur Safarov listened to lectures, participated in workshops on “The role of Satellite observation data in the environmental monitoring and the study of hydrometeorological processes”, “Satellite image processing, satellite data with databases and business rules”, “The study of oceanic processes using satellite observation data”, etc.

After completing the training the young scientist received an International Certificate in the field of remote sensing.
