Azizov Shamil Kamil oghlu – 1954, 25.00.23 – “Physical geography and biogeography, geography of soils, geophysics and geochemistry of landscapes”, candidate of geographical sciences, leading scientific worker.

Scientific interests: compiling of maps of natural components; analysis of thematic naps and atlases; generalization of landscape maps, study of separate problems of landscape mapping and morphometry; compiling of landscape-ecological and toponymic maps and so on.

Now finishes the monograph under the name “Research of landscapes by a cartographical method”.   

Author of more than 50 scientific works.

Abbasova Mahira Akbar gyzy – 1947, 25.00.24 – “Toponymics”, PhD on geography, scientific worker.

Main scientific achievements: There are special merits in studying of toponymy of Azerbaijan. The results of her researches on geographical names of Azerbaijan are used in compiling of physic-geographical, toponymical, politic-administrative and special toponymic maps.

Author of more than 20 scientific works and one monograph.

Mammadova Khanym Iskander gyzy – 1934, scientific worker.

Main scientific achievements: take part in compiling of thematic maps in different scales and contents. She carried out analysis of geographical names.

Author of a number of scientific works.

Mirzazade Ofeliya Yahya gyzy – 1943, scientific worker.

Main scientific achievements: take part in compiling, designing and analysis of maps in different scales and contents.

She is compilers-designers of physical, landscape-ecological maps and one of the authors of toponymic maps of administrative regions of Azerbaijan.

She carried out translation works in high level.

Mammadova Irade Abdulagha gyzy – 1959, scientific worker.

Main scientific achievements: She is one of the executors of scientific-research works on toponymics.

At present she takes part in studying of the systematization of geographical names of certain regions of the republic, in compiling of toponymic glossary.

Rahimova Almaz Sabir gyzy – 1971, scientific worker.

Scientific interests: compiling of physical-geographical maps of certain administrative regions of Azerbaijan. Editing and alteration in maps and atlases, toponymic systematization of geographical names of regions of Azerbaijan.

Mammadova Flora Vahid gyzy – 1966, scientific worker.
