An assessment of the potential of tourism and recreational opportunities has been carried out at the national and regional level and justified the role of the tourism sector in the sustainable development of the regions; have been done recommendations for the creation of the tourism market, long-term and sustainable for competition; were determined economic and geographical problems of tourism economy considering natural features and economic development of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
