The book-album “Wonders of the Azerbaijani nature and architecture” was published under the editorship of the president of ANAS, academician Akif Alizade
and dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. It has print run of 500 copies and composed of 337 pages.
The main authors are academician R. Mammadov, director of the Institute of Geography; corresponding member of ANAS E.Alizade, deputy director for science; professor T.H.Kengerli, doctor of geological and mineralogical sciences; PhD, docent S.A.Tarikhazer; PhD, senior researcher E.J. Kerimova; employees of the Institute of Architecture and Culture R.Sh.Aliyeva, E.N.Alliyev, T.N.Isayev and N.A.Zeynalov. They did their best to fully reflect the unique nature and describe monuments, flora and fauna of different regions of Azerbaijan.
More than 400 beautiful pictures, vivid descriptions and tourist information make this book- album unique.
All places of interest are structured conveniently by the regions of Azerbaijan. It is an encyclopedia of all Azerbaijani attractions and illustrated tourist guide.
The book-album “Wonders of the Azerbaijani nature and architecture” opens with an address of academician Akif Alizade, president of ANAS.
The structure of book-album was differentiated on a regional basis: each region of Azerbaijan (Major Caucasus, the Kura-Araz, the Small Caucasus, Lankaran, Nakhchivan) is represented in all its natural diversity.
It concerns the flora and fauna, unique landscapes, objects of inanimate nature, amazing landscapes.
